Biography of Zubir Said written by his daughter published by the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies
The Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (ISEAS) has published a biography of Zubir Said, the composer of Singapore's national anthem Majulah Singapura, written by his daughter Dr Rohana Zubir.
Titled Zubir Said - The Composer of Majulah Singapura, the biography is based on Dr Rohana's personal recollections of her father, and marks the 25th anniversary of his death.
The 280-page book includes "numerous photographs, documents, musical scores and articles, as well as a CD of a selection of Zubir Said's compositions", and is available both in hardcover or as an E-book. More details available at this link.
